Stephen L. Malove is a seasoned litigator and talented trial lawyer. He practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, civil rights litigation, products liability, maritime injuries, nursing home neglect and premises liability.
Originally from Philadelphia, Mr. Malove was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1979 and the Florida Bar in 1980. He is also a member of the bar of the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida; Southern District of Florida, including Trial Bar; U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania; and the U.S. Court of Appeal for the Third, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits.
As a graduate of The American University in Washington, D.C., Mr. Malove received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 1975. He received the degree of Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 1978. Subsequently, he attended Harvard University and received the degree of Master of Public Health in 1980. The Harvard program included physicians and other post-doctoral fellows studying in the areas of forensic medicine, healthcare law, environmental science, epidemiology, and healthcare administration.
In the 1980's Mr. Malove was an attorney with a prestigious law firm in Miami. Thereafter, he has been in private practice and the senior partner of MaloveHenratty, P.A. in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Mr. Malove litigates cases throughout Florida and the nation.
Mr. Malove has also taught graduate students at the University of Miami School of Business Administration in the Department of Health Care Administration. He has lectured to various groups including nurses and healthcare administrators.
Mr. Malove has been a member of the University of Miami Health Administration Association, Florida Justice Association and a member of the Medical Malpractice Committee, Dade County Bar Association and a member of the Medical Liaison Committee, Board of Directors of the Young Lawyers Division of the Dade County Bar Association, American Bar Association, Dade County Trial Lawyers Association, Broward County Bar Association, Broward County Trial Lawyers Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, American Society of Law and Medicine and the American Public Health Association.
Mr. Malove is currently serving on the Florida Justice Association Medical Malpractice Steering Committee.
